But there is no guarantee. It's highly probable your milk is safe to drink because industry regulators oversee the market and product quality issues. We have such institutions in place becasue we DO NOT have faith. If we had faith in the safety of milk products we would give the industry complete freedom to regualte itself. But we don't, because consumers want reasonable assurances that they products they consume are safe. Lack of faith and industry oversight is what gives you a reasonable expectation of quality product. Same goes for cars and mechanics. There are entire government departments in Canada devoted to transportation safety, because the citizens DO NOT have faith in the transportation industry to regulate itself. As for having "faith in others that they do the right thing", when they don't do the right thing there are courts of law to deal with that. You see, all the things you consider matters of faith are actually being managed and regulated for you by people who have no faith. |

If there was evidence then skepticism in God wouldn't exist. If you were accused of murder, should you be presumed innocent or presumed guilty? Should you be required to prove your innocence, or should the prosecution be required to prove your guilt? |

> I believe the guy who can turn 150 gallon of water into wine. Accounts of turning water into wine have been found in mythologies that predate Jesus. In particular, the Dionysus was said to be able to turn water into wine (he was the god of wine after all). It was also a trick used by priests to make people believe they had supernatural powers. They made trick devices where they could pour water into one end and wine came out the other. I imagine a bit of clever plumbing could do that. There is very little about Jesus' character that can't be found in earlier mytholgies. |

Simple quotation marks would be just as useful, would they not? Nobody could be so stupid as to believe colouring words red makes them authentic... surely you must be having me on. |
